Responsibilities:
- Managing the Legal Department.
- Drafting agreements, contracts, memoranda, letters and other documents of legal nature.
- Participating in negotiations and discussions concerning the legal issues.
- Preparing legal opinions related to the matters arising out of and in connection with the contractual relations of the Company.
- Constantly reviewing the legal documentation in relation to the Projects and ensuring that the Company is fulfilling all of its obligations undertaken in the agreements in a timely manner.
- Participating in the drafting of various loan facility agreements, sale and purchases agreements, shareholders’ agreements and other legal documentation.
- Providing legal advice and support to the various management teams within the Company.
- Coordinating the work of the Legal Department.
- Interacting with other departments in the Company.
- Performing any other task that may from time to time be assigned by the General Director.
Requirements:
- University degree in law from a reputable university in the UK.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as the senior lawyer in managerial position.
- Solid knowledge of English law, International and Azerbaijani law.
- Relevant master’s degree in law is advantage.
- Fluent written and verbal English, Azerbaijani and Russian. Knowledge of any other foreign language, in addition to those listed is welcomed.
- Experience working with various oil & gas contracts.
- Knowledge of Contract law, Private Law, Commercial Law, Oil & Gas Law.
- Good communication skills, good managerial skills.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.
- Motivation for professional development.
- Very attentive to details.
- Easy learner.
- Results-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good MS Office skills
