Responsibilities:
- Negotiating employee contracts.
- Preparing and filing internal reports.
- Drafting legal documents.
- Reviewing new business relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Guiding managers on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Analyzing legal issues relating to proposed products.
- Representing the corporation before administrative boards and court trials.
- Providing supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation with their specialized legal services.
- Provide legal advice to the company in various matters.
- Check the details of the contracts and filter the agreement criteria.
- Handle the legal problems and issues.
- Research about the different legal rules that the company must follow.
- Prepare the legal documents which the company may require in order to carry out the business smoothly.
- Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
- Develop company policy and position on legal issues.
- Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks.
- Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents.
- Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
- Draft and administer all contracts.
Requirements:
- Current license to practice law.
- 8+ years of experience at a law firm or within an in-house legal department or corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws). Experience in Oil and Gas companies is mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent business judgment and high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
