A Commis is responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while consistently contributing to departmental targets.
What will I be doing?
As a Commis, you are responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Commis will also be required to prepare all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards expected by Hilton
- Perform tasks within a timely manner
- Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost control
- Provide support to the Kitchen brigade
- Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines
- Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
- Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
- Meet all health and hygiene requirements
- Be environmentally aware

A Kitchen Storekeeper will manage the goods and deliveries moving in and out of the kitchen and will ensure that these deliveries reach the appropriate sections of kitchen according to the company's kitchen and store standards.
What will I be doing?
A Kitchen Storekeeper will manage the goods and deliveries moving in and out of the kitchen and will ensure that these deliveries reach the appropriate sections of kitchen according to the company's kitchen and store standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Prepares a list of all required products
- Keeps all refrigerators and freezers clean and tidy
- Receives the goods and products arriving for the kitchen usage at the hotel
- Sorts all received products and places them accordingly in refrigerators/freezers
- Checks the shelf life of the products in stores and passes products with short shelf life to the kitchen
- Ensures the safety and security of goods and products in stores
- Ensures the reporting of store operations
- Checks the cleanliness of the corridor along the way when food is delivered to the kitchen
- Has complete knowledge of all cleaning standards
- Keeps storerooms clean and tidy
