The renowned Italian design and furniture manufacturer BONALDO has opened its new store in Baku (ataturk ave 19).

According to FED.AZ, the official opening ceremony was attended by executives of local companies, as well as representatives and heads of Turkish, Italian, and other international companies operating in Azerbaijan.

The event began with a speech by Alberto Bonaldo, the CEO of Bonaldo. He noted that the family-owned Bonaldo brand has been operating since 1936 and has continued its legacy for three generations:

“This heritage gives us continuity and stability, which makes us significantly different from brands owned by private equity funds. Our mission is to present to the world a balanced and refined expression of Italian design. Bonaldo positions itself in the high-end segment—sometimes luxurious, yet always accessible and close to people.”

According to Alberto Bonaldo, in recent years, Azerbaijan has shown a growing interest in luxury design characterized by elegant forms and premium materials:

“At the same time, Italian designers and brands have been moving toward lighter forms and a more balanced aesthetic. I wouldn’t call it minimalism it’s more about striving for perfection rather than simple brilliance. I believe Bonaldo perfectly embodies this evolution, and most importantly, I am confident that the local audience is both ready for and genuinely interested in this approach.”

He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s young and dynamic population, rapidly developing economy, and increasingly strategic role in the region: “I am convinced that every global brand should consider investing in Azerbaijan a priority. Taking all this into account, I can confidently say that our company’s sales performance, along with the brand’s prestige and recognition, will continue to grow in Azerbaijan.”

Later, Basso Stefano, Bonaldo’s Sales Director, delivered a speech, emphasizing the significance of the new showroom: “The opening of Bonaldo’s first official showroom in Baku is a very important milestone for us. This opening is not just about launching a new space—it’s about uniting the spirit of Italian design with Azerbaijani culture. For three generations, Bonaldo has been a brand rooted in family values, focused on stability and excellence. Our main goal is to offer people not just furniture, but a sense of taste, harmony, and lifestyle.”

Mr. Stefano added that entering the Azerbaijani market was no coincidence: “We see here a young, creative audience with a refined sense of aesthetics. Azerbaijan’s rapidly developing economy, cultural richness, and open connection with the world make it a key player in the region. This showroom became possible through close cooperation with our local partners, and we are confident that this marks the beginning of a long-term and successful collaboration.”
