PMD Projects, a leading construction company in Azerbaijan, has obtained the ISO 50001 Energy Management System certificate. In our country, the ISO 50001 standard was adopted in 2022 by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute under Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy.
PMD Projects applied to the Azerbaijani Institute of Standardization and successfully passed all stages and audits to achieve the additional standard (AZS ISO 50001:2022) in addition to the existing standards (ISO 9001:2020; ISO 14001:2021; ISO 45001:2021). At the award ceremony held on July 17, the head of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, Ilham Bayramov, presented the AZS ISO 50001:2022
certificate to Nariman Topchibashev, the director of “PMD Projects” LLC.
The application of the ISO 50001 standard at PMD Projects is an international indicator of more efficient use of energy resources, alongside quality management, health, safety, and environmental protection practices in both office buildings and construction sites. This is another achievement of PMD Projects towards Green World and Development of Sustainable Construction.
The adoption of this standard in Azerbaijan aims to increase the efficiency of energy use, establish requirements in the field of energy management in line with advanced international practices, prevent inefficient energy use, and expand the possibilities for the application of renewable energy sources.
