Chief Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and highly responsible Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function, ensure accurate financial and tax accounting, and provide reliable financial support to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee financial and tax accounting in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the company's accounting policies.
- Manage the accounting team, allocate responsibilities, and supervise daily operations.
- Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and primary documentation.
- Safeguard accounting documentation and maintain proper document control procedures.
- Prepare and submit financial, tax, and statutory reports accurately and on time.
- Ensure the reliability and accuracy of the company's financial information.
- Oversee cash operations, tax payments, and settlements with suppliers and other counterparties.
- Participate in inventory counts and the investigation of discrepancies.
- Develop and improve accounting policies, internal accounting procedures, and document management processes.
- Participate in the automation and optimization of accounting processes.
- Monitor changes in legislation and ensure timely implementation within the accounting function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant.
- Professional Accountant Certificate (PAC/CPA equivalent) is required.
- Excellent knowledge of Azerbaijani accounting and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in 1C 8.3, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and M.E.Doc.
- Fluent Russian is mandatory.
- Fluent Azerbaijani.
- English proficiency is considered an advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.

- Salary: AZN 3,000–4,000 (NET), depending on qualifications and experience.
