Procurement Lead

Salary range: 2500 – 3500 AZN depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with suppliers to obtain parts, supplies and/or equipment as per demand at the best price, within schedule.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and work with the company's engineers and teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
- Identify suitable suppliers for cost and capacity considerations, prepare sourcing plans, conduct analysis of supplier's offerings and prepare recommendations of the most suitable supplier.
- Conduct risk management analysis of selected suppliers taking into account material costing trends and capacity constraints.
- Prepare and submit Request for Information, Requests for Quotation, and the issuance of Purchase Orders.
- Analyze and identify the “Total cost of Ownership” principles in making suitable supplier selections.
- Analyze market research for potential demand aggregation - supplier consolidation, contract renegotiation, price reductions or cost avoidance.
- Oversee resolution of disputes, deficiencies, and warranty claims.
- Coordinate the physical movement of export and import shipments and the determination and preparation of all legally required documentation.
- Maintain awareness of regulations to ensure compliance with Azerbaijan customs laws and regulations.
- Perform stock evaluation and minimum maximum stock definitions, stock control, material flow reports. Organize periodically on spot stock checks at warehouses. Coordinate transportation of materials to end users.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent is required.
- Certified Purchasing Manager and MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of related experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management roles is required.
- Some level of specific knowledge of components of drilling fluids, production chemicals is desirable.
- Demonstrated skill set in identifying, qualifying and negotiating with suppliers on matter of cost, terms and conditions and general contract requirements.
- Knowledge of SIMS is desirable.
- Experience with various contract types including terms and conditions, letters of intent, letters of agreement and the creation and processing of purchase orders.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in reading the market.
- The ability to interface effectively with the technical, quality and the legal organizations to capture and convey the specification requirements and contractual needs and write these effectively into a contract format.
