According to the information obtained by FED.az, the former CEO of SOCAR-AQS LLC has filed an appeal complaint regarding the imprisonment verdict.

Ramin Isayev (Ramin Ali Hakan as in Turkish passport) requested the cancellation of the first-instance court's decision and to be released from the courtroom.

However, the Baku Court of Appeal rejected the complaint, deeming it baseless, and upheld the decision to keep the accused person in custody.

It should be noted that Ramin Isayev was arrested by the Anti-Corruption General Directorate with Prosecutor General. He is accused under Article 179.4 (embezzlement on a large scale) of the Criminal Code. The estimated damage in the case amounts to 16 million manats.(qafqazinfo.az)
