Role & Responsibilities:
- Identify potential risks, anomalies and vulnerabilities in the assets through comprehensive risk assessments.
- Develop and implement inspection and monitoring programs to regularly assess the condition of assets and detect any signs of deterioration or damage.
- Create maintenance plans and schedules to address identified issues and ensure the integrity of assets is maintained over their lifecycle.
- Managing corrosion control measures to prevent corrosion-related failures in pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, structures and other equipment.
- Ensure that asset integrity activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Analyze inspection and monitoring data to assess asset performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct investigations into asset failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Communicate with the management, regulatory agencies, and contractors, and providing regular reports on asset integrity performance and issues.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology and methodologies for asset integrity management and recommend adoption of new tools and techniques where appropriate.
- Overall, the role of an oil and gas asset integrity specialist is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas facilities while minimizing environmental impact and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Competencies:
- A deep understanding of oil and gas industry operations, equipment, and infrastructure, including knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to assess and manage risks associated with asset integrity, including knowledge of risk assessment techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in various inspection and monitoring techniques used to assess the condition of oil and gas assets, such as non-destructive testing (NDT), thickness measurement, corrosion monitoring, and integrity modeling.
- Skills in developing and implementing effective maintenance plans and strategies to ensure the reliability and longevity of assets.
- Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and mitigation techniques to prevent corrosion- related failures in oil and gas infrastructure.

Requirements:
- Diploma in relevant Engineering Technology program
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a corrosion integrity, pressure equipment inspection & fabric maintenance
- API-510, API-570, API-653 certifications are considered an asset
- Strong commitment to personal and process safety
- Strong communication skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Experience in use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Knowledge of pipeline, structural codes and regulations an asset.
- Strong knowledge of pressure equipment codes and regulations
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel an asset

Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of cost engineers, estimators, and quantity surveyors, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure efficient and effective cost control practices.
- Develop and maintain relevant project documents, including cost control plans, procedures, and guidelines, to ensure consistent and standardized cost management across projects.
- Create and implement a comprehensive cost breakdown structure (CBS) that aligns with project objectives, work breakdown structure (WBS), and cost coding systems to enable accurate tracking and reporting of costs.
- Analyse, track, and report project-specific financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as cost performance index (CPI), earned value, and variance analysis, and effectively communicate their status to the project team.
- Review, monitor, and analyse committed, expended, earned values, and forecasted costs for packages against the approved budget and approved changes, identifying any deviations or potential risks.
- Develop accurate project budget estimates, considering all relevant cost elements, and provide inputs for cost control measures.
- Ensure continuous and proactive communication with the procurement team, keeping them informed of project budget estimates and updates to facilitate informed decision- making during vendor selection and contract award processes.
- Provide commercial evaluation inputs and insights to the procurement team to support contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with project budget estimates.
- Oversee contractors' Cost Time Resource (CTR) management, reviewing and assessing their cost-related performance and providing guidance to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate actively with the Finance Department on all matters related to cost and accounting, including commitments, invoice processing and payment, accruals, payment claims, and disputes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Participate in project meetings as required, providing cost control insights and recommendations, and actively engaging with stakeholders to align cost management activities with project goals.
- Gather, prepare, and analyse data for Risk Assessments, ensuring that risk information is incorporated into the project forecast and budgeting processes.
- Foster effective collaboration with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other team members, to ensure cost control considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making processes.
- Continuously improve cost control processes and systems, identifying opportunities for optimisation and implementing best practices to enhance project cost management.
- Provide guidance and support to the cost team, promoting their professional development and enhancing their cost control skills and knowledge.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of cost engineering experience.
- Major project cost engineering experience is mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic & multicultural work environment.
- Professional affiliation(s) with international institutions would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience within the oil and gas industry would be beneficial
- Extensive knowledge and experience in cost engineering principles and methods, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, Cost and Work Breakdown Structures (CBS/WBS), Earned Value Systems (EVS), and contingency management.
- Proficiency in utilizing budget and cost control tools such as SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other commercial project cost control tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse cost data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise in project budget estimation techniques, including top-down, bottom-up, parametric, and analogous estimating.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for budget estimation and successful management of cost control processes, including cost reporting, forecasts, commitments, budgets, VOWD, variance analysis, contingencies, period close and reconciliation, earned value progress, trend analysis, and invoices processing.
- Good knowledge of quantitative cost based risk analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with project management practices, methodologies, and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex cost-related information to diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost calculations and analyses.
- Proficient in using technology tools and software to enhance cost control processes and improve efficiency.
