Job Summary:
This position is expected to deliver specialist technical support and assurance for electrical hardware and software systems, work across the entire field of electrical engineering and ensure safe, reliable operation and remove or mitigate risk within their area of responsibility.
The Individual is expected to have experience in electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, utilisation and operation at oil and gas processing facilities and be knowledgeable of applicable industry, country, and company standards and practices..
Job Duties:
- Provide troubleshooting and operational support for high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems packages and all other SP electrical equipment.
- Perform electrical hazard and reliability analysis
- Perform power system analysis and protection coordination using specialist software
- Perform electrical system troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis
- Contribution to SP internal electrical Engineering Technical Practices (ETPs).
- Provide technical guidance on application of codes, standards, project design criteria and ETPs.
- Participate in the Electrical Community of Practice (CoP) and the wider Instrument, Control and Electrical (ICE) Network.
- Review and approve maintenance, operation, and switching procedures as requested
- Perform roles as required in the local SP electrical authorisation scheme as defined in the applicable HSE procedure
- Approve MOCs as required
- Provide technical support to the site maintenance functions, including in spares selection as requested
- Participate in the condition monitoring programs for electrical equipment as defined in the maintenance strategies
- Other duties requested by Line Manager

Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years significant experience with electrical systems, i.e:
- Proficient in preparing work scopes, MOC (manage of chances) and budgets, and ensure that scopes and budgets are met
- Bachelor’s degree in Power Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer.
Language Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Azeri and English
- Good knowledge of Russian is preferable
Technical Skills:
- Electrical power generation, transmission and distribution.
- Protection systems
- Large electric drive systems.
- Electrical system analysis tools.
- The candidate should have a working knowledge of industry and government standards such as EEMUA Electrical Committee, EI and/or IEEE and API.
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Practices (NFPA 70E and/or IEC safety regulations).
- Project and/or operations experience as an electrical engineer.

Maintenance Planning Engineer

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for coordination of maintenance workflow for one or multiple equipment/systems thru SAP PM; planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay of maintenance work order related activities; pre evaluating needs for replacement parts and placing orders via work order system, checking parts inventory and work closely with maintenance and procurement staff to ensure smooth collaboration.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning
- Conducts field walk downs to identify and document job requirements
- Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work
- Develop detailed work- pack for execution of the task, which is including but not limited to: wringing procedures, tasks and job, plans, estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task, identifying or ordering required spares, identifying required technical support to implement tasks, including contractors, raising call-off with the contractor companies, procures equipment and specialized tools required to perform work
- Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforce
- Determines and includes QA/QC requirements on jobs
- Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings
- Writes clear and concise work procedures
- Determines and arranges for parts required to perform the work (when no expediter exists)
- Plans parts for all projects to increase “wrench time” and maximize efficiency
- Compiles information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades – clearly communicates with skilled trades regarding critical steps in the process
- Prints and delivers work orders to the skilled trades in conjunction with the weekly work schedule
- Upon completion of jobs, communicates with skilled trades regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient
- Coordinates priority setting with the management team – places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities
- Keeps bills of materials current
- Can accurately measure the maintenance backlog in its various forms and continually maintains not less than 2 weeks’ worth of ready backlog always
- Responsible for equipment and repair parts data entry and management
- Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished
- Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement
- Communicates with contractor resources directly on specific work orders assigned to the contractors and the performance expectations of the work order. Does not manage the contractors, but ensures that all the details of the work order are clearly communicated and understood
- Participates with Reliability Department personnel on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan
