Position summary:
A Cost Controller is responsible for controlling project costs; This includes planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting the project's budget. The goal of a cost controller is to minimize the deviation from the budget and ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget.
Prinsipal responsibilities:
- Monitoring and updating cost estimates for projects to ensure that costs are within expected ranges
- Reviewing expense reports to ensure that expenses are reasonable and appropriate for the circumstances
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked
- Conducting cost analyses to identify areas where costs can be reduced or eliminated altogether
- Monitoring budgets to ensure that spending doesn’t exceed approved levels
- Collecting cost data from suppliers or subcontractors to track material costs
- Preparing reports to management regarding costs and expenses
- Preparing bid estimates for new projects or bids on existing projects
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure that the company is receiving quality products at competitive prices
- Preparation of statistical reports required within Procurement Supply Chain Management process

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost control, planning and reporting
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within same role
Language skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani
- Intermediate knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of Russian is an asset

- Excellent analytical, statistical, communication, presentation and system skills with thorough attention to detail

TRAINING & EDUCATION NEEDED
- Bachelor’s degree (in a relevant field if applicable)
- Certificate in Cost Control area is an advantage
