QA HSE Engineer

Job Description:
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products, services, and processes meet national and international quality standards, as well as client expectations.
- Perform inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, documenting any non-conformities and initiating corrective actions.
- Implement and monitor quality control systems, ensuring seamless integration with IMS procedures.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Enforce adherence to HSE regulations and standards to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant work environment.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental assessments across all projects, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead safety inspections and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are promptly implemented.
- Integrate HSE processes into the IMS framework to align quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
IMS (Integrated Management System) Implementation and Maintenance:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the IMS (including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Coordinate with various departments to integrate IMS elements (quality, safety, and environmental standards) into day-to-day operations.
- Maintain IMS documentation, ensuring all processes, audits, and inspections comply with ISO and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor IMS performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess compliance and effectiveness.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance, safety, and environmental documentation in line with IMS standards.
- Prepare regular reports on QA and HSE performance, ensuring ongoing compliance with IMS procedures.
- Submit IMS audit reports and corrective actions to senior management, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution.
Training and Continuous Improvement:
- Provide training to employees on IMS processes, ensuring understanding and compliance across departments.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and encourage continuous improvement in quality, safety, and environmental practices.
- Lead internal audits and assist in external IMS audits, ensuring the system is continuously improved and aligned with industry standards.
Emergency Response and Incident Management:
- Coordinate emergency response actions in the event of accidents or incidents, ensuring all actions are recorded in IMS for compliance.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, reporting findings in line with IMS requirements and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Certifications:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), or other related certifications.
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety and health certification.
- Experience in IMS-related roles is essential.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in QA and HSE management, with hands-on experience in the implementation and use of IMS.
- Familiarity with quality, safety, and environmental management systems (ISO standards) is required.
- IMS Expertise: In-depth understanding of Integrated Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Quality and Safety Knowledge: Strong background in quality management systems (QMS), environmental management systems (EMS), and occupational health & safety management systems (OHSMS).
- HSE Regulations and Processes: Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations, quality assurance, and control processes.
- Communication and Reporting: Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across departments and integrate IMS processes into daily operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in IMS software and tools, as well as MS Office applications.
Work Environment:
- The position involves both office-based work and site-based activities, ensuring compliance with QA and HSE standards in both environments.
- The candidate must be flexible and willing to work in challenging environments, ensuring the proper implementation of IMS and HSE practices on-site.
