Job purpose
- Provide Commercial support and guidance to corporate and project groups when required.
- Assist in development, implementation and compliance with Commercial Procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and coordinate Proposal Submissions initiatives on behalf of corporate office and subsidiaries through ERP system.
- Responsible for maintaining registers of tenders submitted and BD opportunities ensuring data received is accurate and in sufficient detail using the Salesforce system employed by the Group.
- Preparation of presentations and reports required by management relating to Commercial aspects of the business. This also includes Annual Work Plans and Board slides
Market & Competitive Benchmarking:
- Perform market analytics on key competitors, including pricing strategies, service offerings, and market positioning.
- Benchmark internal rates against industry standards to assess competitiveness.
- Provide insights on market trends and recommend adjustments to maintain or improve the Holding’s market position
Data Repository & Knowledge Management:
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository of sales rates, internal costs, and pricing models across all disciplines (engineering, construction, operations, etc.).
- Ensure data consistency and accessibility for affiliates and subsidiaries to support unified commercial strategies.
Profitability & Performance Optimization:
- Identify gaps between actual costs and sales prices, proposing corrective actions where necessary.
- Support subsidiaries in implementing best practices for cost control and margin improvement.
- Collaborate with finance and project teams to refine forecasting models based on historical and market data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with subsidiary commercial teams to align strategies and share insights.
- Work with senior leadership to provide data-driven recommendations for pricing, tendering, and commercial risk management.
Subsidiary Rates & Cost Structure Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of cost structures across subsidiaries to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate internal cost measures versus sales pricing to ensure profitability alignment.
- Work closely with project controllers to validate cost assumptions and refine internal costing methodologies.
- Participate and support in contract terms and conditions reviews during tendering stage of projects and prepare necessary
- Contractual Risk Assessment Forms for management review
- Assisting in developing the strategy and direction of the Group with respect to its existing business and new products / services.
- Together with compliance officer from time to time check and validate companies adherence to those processes and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all corporate data.
- Comply with HSE requirements of the business and promote good safety culture among peers.
Performance Metrics:
- Suggestions on Improvement in cost efficiency and profitability margins.
- Accuracy and usability of the centralized rates & cost repository.
- Supporting Holding to maintain Competitive positioning insights leading to actionable strategies.
- Cross-subsidiary alignment on pricing and commercial best practices.
Requirements:
- Excellent English, Azerbaijani and Russian both written and spoken
- Financial background and at least 3 years of experience with reporting and analytics
- Commercial working experience
- Cost control working experience
