Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of financial management within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing key metrics, costs, and profitability of construction projects.
- Ensure effective cash flow management and optimize working capital.
- Maintain compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and industry-specific accounting standards.
- Coordinate external audits, ensuring smooth processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess the financial viability of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Develop and implement internal controls, financial procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic advice to support executive decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance overall department performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree, CPA, or CFA certification is an asset).
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management, with preference given to candidates from the construction sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with construction-specific ERP systems is advantageous.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
