EBRD is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced people for the position of driver to join the Baku Resident Office. EBRD established its Baku Resident Office in 1995 and currently employs 17 staff in Azerbaijan. To date EBRD has invested over €1.4 billion in Azerbaijan making it one of the largest investors in the country.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for: transporting EBRD staff and visitors as well as cargo and correspondence as instructed; understanding and obeying local driving laws and regulations; ensuring that all passengers are wearing seat belts; performing daily maintenance checks of the vehicle and fuel; making sure that the car is clean and tidy; preparing and submitting monthly overtime sheet reports to his/her supervisor; informing the manager of any needs for car repair and maintenance; being in possession of a valid driving licenses and other required documents; performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and experience required
- Essential: secondary education, clean driver's licence for at least three years, experience as a professional driver; fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian.
- Desirable: knowledge of English and previous trainings in Defensive Driving would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- The successful candidates should be self-starters with excellent interpersonal skills. As a prerequisite the selected candidate will go through a full medical check up covered by the EBRD.
