The Training Coordinator (Oil & Gas Industry)
Purpose:
The Training Coordinator is responsible to plan, implement and support training and development initiatives and to assess training needs, training research and course writing, evaluate training effectiveness and to provide general support to training functions throughout the company.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of training plan for the company;
• Identifying training needs, developing training plans and programs, coordinating and monitoring all the training requirements for the company;
• Provides administrative assistance and logistics support related to training activities in the preparation and implementation of approved training plan;
• Assists in preparation of training manuals. Conducts classroom lectures and tests for groups and individuals;
• Books internal and external training courses for delegates in line with requirements set out in appraisals, competency matrices and on the job requirements, in line with company policies and procedures;
• Ensures that employees have the appropriate joining instructions prior to attending the training;
• Updates internal training databases/systems with the planned training events and certification details;
• Ensures that required refresher training courses are planned in and take place in good time;
• Liaises with external providers or Clients regarding organizational requirements and ensures service levels are adhered to;
• Ensures that feedback is sought after the training event from the delegates to assess and analyses the impact of the learning or training event;
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in organizational development, business, or education or a combination of education, training and experience are acceptable in lieu of the degree;
• 5 years’ diversified experience in training and career development in the Oil/Gas Industry or Petrochemical industry;
• Knowledge in instructional design methodology including needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation;
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills; able to communicate clearly and precisely with team members;
• Advanced Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills;
Job type: full-time
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 am – 17:30pm, 5 working days a week.
