Unfortunately, some people still do not accept the bikes, which are environmentally friendly means of transport. However, there are many advantages of the bikes. This means of transport is very useful and helpful not only for human health, but also for our personal budget.
Though there are yellow strips for bikes and other non-motorized vehicles along some of the city highways, in some cases car drivers do not care about it and are indifferent concerning this case. They are also not willing to share the road with bike riders.
Here below you can review the video in which our women-bike riders, i.e. Turan and Sahar, talk about the problems they meet on the road, the advantages and disadvantages of riding a bike in Baku streets, etc.
In this social video which is presented under the slogan “Let’s share the road” we can hear about some advantages of riding a bike. By riding a bike you can do sport, make new friends, communicate with interesting people and find new things. This process will also create great opportunities for you and help you to save your budget.
However, along with the above advantages there are some disadvantages and problems, as well. The bike riders complain about the obstacles they face while riding their favourite bike in Baku streets. Especially, they complain about the following cases: most car drivers do not let them pass the road; they intimidate bike riders; and in most cases, the riders often become the object of censure. In addition, women-bike riders are not definitely and unambiguously greeted by the public.
The main desire of those bike riders-women is: to see more bike tracks in Baku streets; to have more favorable parking conditions; to have more friendly car drivers who can share the roads with them.
We would like to remind that this social video helps to promote the driving culture, as well as the acceptance of bike as a means of transport. For this purpose, the social video has been prepared within the framework of the project “Cultural human model is formed by ethical behaviour” arranged by Azeri Yurdu Youth Public Union and sponsored by Youth Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
We would also like to mention that similar type of social videos will regularly be submitted to your attention.
