Seven days, seven countries, online and offline, contests and creative events – join the content of the Week Program and invite your colleagues.
Events of the Week, with the slogan “The Art of Living Together”, will be held October 5-11, 2020 in parallel in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
The objectives of the Week are to build a loyal attitude towards Citizenship Education providers through demonstrating the potential and popularizing of the best Citizenship Education practices in the region.
Important tasks of the Week are also:
– actualization of Citizenship Education topics in public discourse;
– strengthening the cooperation between the EENCE Members and EENCE’s cooperation with external participants of the Citizenship Education;
– search for new content and new forms of Citizenship Education amid COVID-19.
AGENDA of the Citizenship Education Week will comprise national and international citizenship education events proposed by providers of citizenship education that will be held simultaneously from October 5th till October 11th, 2020
We welcome applications not only from the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia, but from organizations from other countries working in this region or working with the topics of the region.
TYPES OF EVENTS: conferences, lectures, panel discussions, seminars, workshops, presentations, exhibitions, contests, etc. The events are to show how diverse the topics, target groups and formats of citizenship education are, and they should be aimed at promoting the best practices and effects of citizenship education, which will help to strengthen respect for citizenship education providers in the countries of Eastern Partnership and Russia.
Where: online or face-to-face in every country but with the topic, target group or any other connection with the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine), Russia.
WE ARE EXPECTING APPLICATIONS FROM ORGANIZATIONS AND EXPERT GROUPS, ACTIVISTS AND ANYONE INTERESTED in working in the fields of citizenship education, education for democratic citizenship, human rights education or related spheres (education for SDGs, environmental education, etc.) .
We welcome applications not only from the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia, but from organizations from other countries working in this region!
Benefits: participants of the citizenship education Week will have a chance to join (if they so wish) EENCE Network (become a member of cluster working group, a chance to partake in other activities of the Network). Representatives of the best events will be invited to European NECE conference in Berlin (November 2020).
Participants will get access to the results of the Week (contests’ proceedings, sets of posters and video clips, best online cases of citizenship education) and establish relationships with partners (access to the unified database will be provided). Furthermore information and PR support will be provided to organisations and events, as well as financial support in some cases.

A national coordinator will contact you after filling in an application to agree upon events and implementation assistance.
Еvents will be included into the Program of The Citizenship Education Week and will get PR support from the EENCE.
The Week is being prepared by a consortium of EENCE Organizations and Experts, created during a working meeting of the Network’s asset (Minsk, February 2020).
